Correction, Retraction, and Withdrawal Policy

At Science Media Research Group, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, accuracy, and transparency in scholarly publishing. This page outlines our policies regarding corrections, retractions, and withdrawal of manuscripts.

Corrections

Corrections are issued when minor errors or inaccuracies are identified in a published article that do not affect the overall conclusions of the work. These may include:

• Typographical errors
• Author name corrections
• Minor factual inaccuracies

Authors or readers may request a correction by contacting the editorial office with detailed information about the issue. Once verified, the correction will be published and linked to the original article.

Retractions

Retractions are issued in cases where serious issues compromise the validity or integrity of a published work, such as:

• Plagiarism
• Falsification or fabrication of data
• Ethical violations

Retractions are conducted in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. A retraction notice will clearly indicate the reason and will remain permanently linked to the original article.

Withdrawal Policy

Authors may request the withdrawal of a manuscript under certain conditions. Withdrawals are treated seriously and may incur charges depending on the stage of the publication process.

Withdrawal Charges:

• Before 48 hours of submission: Free of cost
• Under Peer Review: 25% of Article Processing Charges (APC)
• After Peer Review and Acceptance for Publication: 50% of APC
• During Final Publication Process: 90% of APC

Steps to Request a Withdrawal:

• Submit a formal withdrawal request via email to the editorial office at info@sciencemediaresearchgroup.com
• Include the manuscript ID, title, and reason for withdrawal.
• The editorial team will acknowledge receipt and verify the stage of processing.
• If applicable, the corresponding withdrawal charges will be communicated.
• Once charges are settled (if any), the withdrawal request will be processed, and the manuscript will be removed from the publication pipeline.

Note: Frequent withdrawals without valid reasons may affect future submissions by the author.
